Equity, Access, and Student Success
As a school leader, I am committed to promoting equity and eliminating achievement gaps by ensuring all students have access to the resources they need. To address transportation barriers, I created a parent-driven Google tool that allows families to coordinate carpooling assistance or find an assisted walker helper. Additionally, I conduct quarterly needs assessments in collaboration with teachers to identify priority resource gaps and allocate support to underserved students.
Beyond daily interventions, I take a proactive approach to supporting families in need. In April, I organized "The Donation Station," a community flea market where families could access essential items freely and without judgment.
Within the school setting, I manage and oversee Positive Behavior Support in Schools (PBSIS) rewards through the "Paws" system, implement Lunch Program Rewards, deliver direct instructional lessons to reinforce behavioral expectations, and monitor food service operations. Through this process, I identified irregularities in lunch options, food supply, and quality across lunch periods and work actively to ensure equitable access to nutritious meals for all students.

Restorative Practices
To enhance student support and data-driven decision-making, I designed a Google Form to track discipline referrals, monitor trends, and ensure timely follow-ups. This system allows for a proactive approach to behavior management by identifying patterns, addressing concerns efficiently, and providing targeted interventions.
I embed restorative practices into daily school operations, working closely with families to uphold behavioral expectations and foster a positive school climate. A key initiative in this effort is the implementation of Howard Glasser’s Nurtured Heart Approach, which empowers staff to create supportive learning environments where positive behaviors are recognized and reinforced, and clear expectations guide student conduct.

Family & Community Engagement
Engaging families and community members is essential to fostering student success. I actively build partnerships between home and school by organizing stakeholder meetings, PTA events, and targeted family engagement sessions that address the unique needs of our students.
To strengthen parental involvement, I hosted a Parent Night on "Attendance Matters," where families learned about attendance expectations and received guidance on addressing school avoidance, refusal, and phobia. Additionally, I developed and launched two three-part parent workshop series to provide families with critical knowledge and strategies to support their children:
"Follow Us" – Social Media Awareness Series

- Setting boundaries, discipline, and fostering independence
Attendance Initiatives
Each month, I organize a Perfect Attendance Pep Rally, celebrating students who demonstrate commitment to their education. During these events, students receive personalized certificates and incentives, reinforcing the value of daily attendance and building a sense of pride and motivation.
To support students struggling with attendance, I implement proactive outreach efforts, including monthly communication to parents, highlighting the importance of school attendance and its direct impact on academic success. These communications provide data-driven insights, resources, and encouragement to help families overcome attendance barriers.
By combining positive reinforcement with strategic family engagement, I strive to increase student attendance rates, reduce chronic absenteeism, and create a school culture where every student understands the value of showing up every day.
